The cooking and pastry school

40 years teaching professionals

Quick introduction to our school

During our 40-year-career (since 1977), Bellart Cooking and Pastry School knows how important a good training is in order to enter in the labour market. Proof of it is the thousands of students who studied in our school and, nowadays, are working in important positions in catering sector all over the world.

We have designed an intensive training program that allows students to attend classes and to consolidate their cooking and pastry studies. This courses range from cooking and pastry basis, through knowledge of new cooking technologies (Molecular Gastronomy, Sous-vide Cooking…) to haute cuisine, as well as an important incursion in Asian cuisine and a significant emphasis in oenology and wine-pairing, cocktails, etc., not to forget to teach in a very practical way all the management tools that will allow our students to run and manage any establishment in hospitality sector.

Collaboration with Universitat de Vic- Universitat Central de Catalunya, Barcelona (Vic’s University) grants our students the access to internships in prestigious establishments of the sector, which strengthens their skills and opens their doors to professional world.

Our whole team at Bellart invites you to get to know our school and to go into the wonderful world of professional cooking and patisserie.

"Our educational goal is that all students learn techniques rather than just recipes."

BELLART LEARNING METHOD:

demostración de cocina profesional

LIVE COOKING SHOWS:

Our educational goal is that all students learn techniques rather than just recipes.

Only in this way they will be able to overcome the challenges of any professional kitchen.

All shows take place in the “Exhibition room”, where students perceive step by step all details in preparation of recipes, from their beginning to their completion, while explaining the techniques, tricks, origin of the ingredients, their varieties, how to treat them...After class, students can take pictures and taste the dishes to know what they taste, texture, meet ingredients that had not tried before ...

practicum de cocina profesional

PRACTICUM:

After the demonstration class access the practical classroom and make the recipes that had been cooked by the teacher.

Practices are held in small groups. Students are supervised by a cuisine or pastry chef that helps them to accomplish their creations.

Some practices are organized as if they were a fictional restaurant service, so the students get used to work with the same dynamism they will be required to have in their future jobs.

At the end of the class, students taste the dishes and the chef makes them constructive assessments in order for students get to understand what they need to improve about the dish they cooked.
